Happy Easter to all of you!
Cant believe that you've been on the road for so long.  Love reading your journals and looking at your pictures.  Loved the RV story....we too have had many travels in a rented RV and unfortunately had run into low hanging objects.  I think the tops of the RV are made out of eggshells and the rental company makes a fortune on the repairs.  I'll be sure and check back later to see how you enjoy S. America.  Are you planning to hit Antarctica?  What a goal....alll of the continents.  Enjoy your travels and stay safe.

Sorry about that. we just logged on to see if you went across to Coonabarabran, and on to the Warrumbungle National Park as we suggested.
I know the feeling well how you must budget and how the expences can get out of hand, having completed nearly two years on the road, in our Winnie.

Happy Holidays belated.  I absolutely enjoyed your pictures.  So in India do the snake charmers really play the typical song that is played in the cartoons?  Also, I have to tell you and Jill that I love your essays - they are glimpses in the future of parenting dilemmas Mike and I will face too.  In November we had our second child - Jenna who came three weeks early.   Two little ones is definitely exciting.  I really look forward to more pics and essays.  Travel Safe!  Love the site

Dave,
I saw your story in the SLUH Alumni News, went to this web site, and was inspired to send you a note. It's rare that any of us from the class of 80' receive any recognition in that pub, and you managed to get your own article and family photo! You're a long way from Bernard Elementary School, my friend!

You struck a chord when you wrote about Steinbeck in your journal. As a fellow RV'r, I gotta tell you, I'm envious of your escapades! You and your wife have given your children an unbelievable education into how the rest of the world lives.  What an amazingly creative and awesome idea.  And thank you for sharing your experiences with the rest of us.  May you and your family be safe and truly relish each moment of the remainder of your travels. God bless!

We found your essay on driving in Europe hillarious.  Just remember this: for centuries women with the last name of Murphy have been under the impression that they could escape the hardships of Murphy's Law by getting married and assuming their husbands name.  Sadly they learn they cannot.

Anyhow, we had our baby girl on Sept 18th (yes, opening day--what a story). Mom and baby Abigail Morgan are doing well , and big sis Sophie is adapting better than I thought. The D-backs have been exciting to watch (sweeping the Cubbies in the NLDS was SWEEEEET). The new hospital has been a comedy of errors with a coup d'tat forming. The weather here is starting to turn and it no longer feels like the surface of the sun. Work beckons me but will get back to you soon. Have a crepe avec oeuf e frommage si-vous-plait. Hi to you all Having you all to stay was a real pleasure, you informed us that you were 'high maintenence' but let me tell you that that is not the case! Mike and I were very sad when you left our house for Africa as, although we will definitely visit you one day in America, realistically this probably won't be for a couple of years. Have fun and keep safe xx

I am enjoying your journey. The logistics of your trip are very interesting. What are your housing issues? How do you handle meals? I know that after a few weeks of travel restaurants become so tiring. We prefer making our own subs on the road and have left many a hotel room smelling like onions. Keep giving the updates and have a safe journey.

2 places in London that are apparently "have to go to" according to my cousin Jeff (Ciciliano but we love him anyway). Take the "tube" to Bond Street Station; come up onto the street, turn right and get the "best Belgian Waffles you've ever had." There is no place to eat there except on the street which is what people do. The Grenadier Pub...apparently been around since the Revolutionary War; it used to be a military barracks. Look for David from Melbourne behind the bar. The food and beer are great. Let me know what your Italy plans are. I am so incredibly jealous! Enjoy! Buon Viaggio!

Hi Tommy, how are you doing? I really miss you. How is Chicago? Tell Joey and your mom happy birthday. My dad says when you go through Ohio to stop at Cedar Point, in Sandusky, OH, It is the best amusement Park in the country! We rented a beach house right on the beach. we had the best time there. we went to legoland and had a great time with our cousins that stayed next door to us. we saw alot of dolphins, caught sand crabs. I saw two fisherman catch a sting ray and a sand shark. I learned to skim board and boogie board. I got really good a skim boarding, but didn't boogie board too much, the water was too cold. we also went camping in durango and went river rafting and went through a rapid called smelter. we had the best time up there also. we went up there with the mercers (michael, maddy, maggie). we went to a lake and went fishing too. i'm bored and I really wish i could walk out my door and play with you. i hope your having a great time. your friend, Riley

Boy does that hurt your feelings leaving all of the pretty Mtns and cool temps to return to the dusty heat. Keep the stories and pictures coming and stay safe. TAM and Brad

Miss you already! If it is any consolation, everyone who has ever gone out with a travel trailer has had similar "adventures" getting used to the trailer life. By the time you get across the country, you will have it down to a science! Just ask anyone you meet in any campground...they all will have some great stories about their first trips. My father was very pleased that he could help with advice on towing...he has pulled a trailer for 38 years now and knows what he is talking about. We have tons of "great" stories from our travels and you will as well. Be safe, my friends. We are thinking of you and praying for you. The Smith/Mazza Clan

First we have to find the dream, to let our hearts wander the world of imagination. Then comes the planning, and now the actual journey to the far corners of the earth.
